We have a 2019 date for your diary – SATURDAY 26TH OCTOBER 2019! Yes we know it is very early but we don’t want you to miss out.
At the Swainby/Osmotherley walk Angela and I were chatting and she said she would like to do a walk in memory of her lovely mum, Eileen, to raise money for Dementia UK. I offered to help Angela organise this walk.
We chatted about dates and Angela told me her mum would have been 100 on 24th October 2019. Unfortunately this date is a Thursday so we have decided to chose the date of SATURDAY 26TH OCTOBER 2019.
We will keep you up to date with plans and ideas. We hope you can join us. Continue reading “2019 Date for your diary”

This weekend we had to refresh our first aid certificates. A valid first aid certificate is essential for our business to operate. However, what we learned on this course will ensure that we can help in any situation, regardless of whether it is on a walk or anywhere else. Everyone should do this. We had decided to take a week off from our weekday jobs this week. As the weather was forecast to be good we thought it would be a great opportunity to check out some of the upcoming walks and enjoy our holiday to boot. Continue reading “Thrunton Wood and Malham recces”
Another gorgeous day of walking ahead, we met up just outside of Ford, to enjoy a walk taking in Ford Village and Ford Moss and a few extra things thrown in for good measure. A quick warm up and we were off. Continue reading “Ford Village and Ford Moss – 21st July 2018”
This walk was a little different from our usual walks, in that it mainly focused on training. It kicked off a weekend of Nordic Walking training, with a second session taking place on Sunday.
We welcomed two new walkers to our group Maggie who was on holiday in Northumberland and wanted to do some Nordic Walking and Sylvia, a friend of Sandra. Continue reading “Take your Nordic Walking to the next level – 14th July 2018”
You can see from the group photo above that the sun was out and it was going to be a hot one from the start. We had checked out this walk in June and we knew it was a good one. Continue reading “Low and High Force – 7th July 2018”
