Description
Lesbury
This walk starts in the lovely village of Lesbury, home to at least two of our regular walkers. We set off out from the village and across the old bridge (replaced by the new bridge in 2004). After crossing the road we follow the River Aln up towards Alnwick but turning to follow the disused railway line up to the entrance to the Aln Valley Railway. At this point we turn back and follow the Cawledge Burn through some beautiful hidden woodland, back to the disused railway. From here we retrace our steps back to Lesbury.
We will round off the day with a visit to the Village Tea Room in Alnmouth.
