We have teamed up with Forestry England to hold monthly Nordic Walking sessions in Hamsterley Forest.

The session is led by Julie, the owner of Strolls With Poles.  Julie has been Nordic walking since 2005 and a British Nordic Walking Instructor since 2012. She is an experienced Nordic Walking Instructor, so you are in good hands.  The session will be fun with lots of laughs.

We will Nordic Walk through the amazing Hamsterley Forest.  If you don’t already know how to Nordic Walk, we can have a short Learn to Nordic Walk session.

The session will include:

  • Being provided with a set of poles (properly set up according to your height);
  • Short instruction for beginners using the INWA 10 Step Method ™ (if needed);
  • A 3 mile walk in Hamsterley Forest; and
  • A cool down/stretching session

Nordic Walking is a great low impact all over body workout.  However don’t be scared there are no squats, lunges or weights involved.
