This is a short walk around part of the beautiful Thrunton Wood, North of Rothbury. The Forestry Commission manages the Wood.

Start
We will leave the car park and walk up into the wood. It is quite eerie and really interesting to see the devastation that Storm Arwen wreaked on Thrunton Wood.
We will finish the walk by following the access roads back through the wood to the car park but visiting some lovely places on the way, especially the place with this view.
After the Walk
Thrunton Woods Tearoom has reopened and as always we have tried it out. We will visit here after the walk.
