Description
Humbleton Hill
We will start in Wooler Common Car Park for our walk to Humbleton Hill. On a clear day, the top provides panoramic views of the surrounding area. You can see Wooler Town from above, the coast around Bamburgh and into the Scottish Borders.
From Wooler Common we will follow St Cuthbert’s Way to a farm track heading downhill. At the bottom of this path we go through a gate and along the base of Humbleton Hill, gradually climbing up around the hill itself. On the West side of the hill we will climb steeply up to the top and then take some time to enjoy the views.
We will return to Wooler via St Cuthbert’s Way. This crosses Wooler Common and then descends into the town.
